Electric System Consulting LLC (ESC) provides practical NERC exam prep, NERC Continuing Education Hour (CEH) training, and operator-focused support for professionals in the electric power industry.
ESC was originally built to help Navy Nuclear Operators transition into transmission, generation, and other control room roles. Today, ESC serves a wider range of students, certified operators, managers, and industry professionals.

Jonathan brings more than a decade of experience in the energy industry, beginning in 2011 when he joined the U.S. Navy and served as a Submarine Nuclear Operator and Electrician (EMN1(SS)). In 2017, before completing six years of military service, he earned his NERC Reliability Coordinator certification. Since then, he has worked as a Power System Operator, building a career around his passion for operating the Bulk Electric System.
He earned a degree in Business Administration in 2010 and also pursued studies in ancient Greek and Hebrew. Before launching his energy career through the Navy, Jonathan and his wife spent four months backpacking through Europe. Married for more than 16 years, they homeschool their four children and enjoy road trips, caring for their pets, and exploring the wonders of creation together.
